According to Google maps, x-Met Cory Lidle flew his plane into a building only 0.5 mi (about 1 min) from my desk at work.

   -1/0-/05 Rowe Long

At age 70, Don Rowe, who pitched for the Mets in 1963, passed away while battling Parkinson's disease... He will be sorely missed.

   -0/9-/05 Donn Clendenon (1935- 2005)

Donn Clendenon passed away from leukemia yesterday. The MVP of the 1969 WS became a lawyer after he retired; then a cocaine addict; then conquered the White Devil and became a substance abuse counselor. He will be sorely missed.
