Calls to various WFAN talk shows from "Joe from Saddle River" were as enjoyable as the morning paper. After winning WFAN's Fan  Appreciation Day contest and a role as guest host, it became clear that Benigno was pure radio entertainment: intelligent, honest, vitriolic, and above all else, lots of fun.

Benigno went on to host the graveyard shift for WFAN, then moved to afternoons, joining Sid Rosenberg on the  "Joe B. and Sid" show-- until Sid went wild-- and now Joe's goin solo.
